I found this Lillie Rubin jacket at Surry Hills market on a recent trip to Sydney. Vintage Fashion Guild tells us that:
‘Lillie Rubin was founded in 1946 in Miami, Florida. They are a specialty clothing chain, selling primarily special occasion and evening dresses. In 1990 the company was bought by Cache’, who added a sportswear line. In 2006 all the Lillie Rubin stores were closed or converted to Cache.’
Anyhow I like a good power jacket or shoulder pad as you can see from this and this post.

[…] jacket where no one bats an eyelid if not fashion week? I thought that this Lillie Rubin jacket (I blogged about it earlier in the year) would get a bit of a workout once MSFW rolled into town and last night was no […]
I love it! It’s chic with impact!
Nice jacket & makeup. Even I remember Lillie Rubin in NYC on W55th, for decades the purveyor of expensive & well cut ladies outfits by US designers -such as Mollie Parnis etc- to the haute bourgeoisie of NY, NJ and FLA. Very well spotted, Lady M!
Ooh you little Sex Kitten – you are working that jacket girl!

I sooo remember Lillie Ruben! Having grown up in the US during the 70’s and 80’s first it was too mature for me and always too fancy/expensive. Looking back at the photos I wish I had made a point of saving for it. Your silver jacket is amazing! I am turning green with envy. 🙂
Cheers,
Laura
Oh wow, gorgeous! I love the rings. 🙂
(And can I just saw that your eye makeup and those dark lips are stunning?! It suits you so well!)
