In addition to shooting outside at The Vibe Carlton there were a couple more indoor shots taken indoors but that didn’t fit with the last ‘story’ but that I wanted to share.
On a beauty note I did my own hair and makeup and unless otherwise specified have always done so on the blog. I just back combed the front part of my hair right back to the crown and pinned it in place. A lot of hairspray and about 10 bobby pins later is the result.
For my eyes I used a Revlon liquid eyeliner that was bought in an emergency but has been working wonders for me of late. I usually use Gorgeous Cosmetics for my cat eye make up because the pigment in their eyeliner and brushes are the best I’ve ever used.
You may remember from a post I did a while ago about some of my favourite things that I mentioned a Natio Illuminating powder. I use it on my face in most of the photos that you see because it truly does what it says: illuminates. Sadly it is out of stock, but I’m happy to report that they now have their mineral range in liquid form and you can see it all here. I use that as well, but the powder is absolutely a beauty secret weapon of mine!

So pretty Lady M! I would swear that this amazing shoot (including your first post) took place in Palm Springs… and in the 60’s. Stunning as always!
The first photo is straight out of a Vogue feature! The light streaming through the blinds onto your eye is just perfection.
Thanks for showing more photos from The Motel series – definitely one of my favourites ever from your lovely blog.
